About NATCAP-OUG

National Capital Oracle Users Group (NATCAP-OUG or NATCAP for short, at www.natcapoug.org) is the only official WDC/VA/MD area Oracle user group meeting on a regular basis, e.g., bimonthly or quarterly.  NATCAP covers all aspects of Oracle, including DBA, Design, Development, Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence, E-Business, Oracle Applications/ERP (e.g. E-Business Suite aka EBS, PeopleSoft, etc), Middleware, SOA, numerous development platforms (Java, .NET, Ruby, etc), Server Virtualization/VM, Data Virtualization/Integration, Sun hardware and software (and other acquired technologies), as well as third party tools which leverage Oracle server, middleware, or other technologies.

NATCAP is accredited as an official chapter of IOUG (www.ioug.org).  IOUG is the Independent Oracle Users Group (formerly called International Oracle Users Group), the world’s largest Oracle related user group.  NATCAP membership is FREE and if you attend (e.g. 2 meetings per year), substantial discounts are available should you wish to join or renew your membership in IOUG-A (IOUG of the Americas).  See Membership for details, and Meeting Schedule/Registration for details on upcoming events.

==> NOTE:  Although you don't need to be an official member of NATCAP-OUG or IOUG in order to participate in NATCAP-OUG meetings/events, NATCAP-OUG membership provides you with advance, detailed notification of upcoming meetings/events.

MEETINGS typically occur on the second or third Wednesday or Thursday of the month and last for about 2 to 3 hours.  They are generally FREE (unless stated otherwise -- extremely rare occasion such as an all-day event).  Our "usual meeting place" is currently Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) building at 8283 Greensboro Drive, McLean, VA  22102 -- less than a mile from the highway and right next to Tysons II Galleria Mall.  Parking is FREE, and DINNER is generally FREE as well.  And in this new facility, EVERYONE is welcome to come -- no more restrictions on non-citizens :-).    See "MAP & DETAILED DIRECTIONS" Below.  NATCAP has hosted in Maryland also -- and we have moved our regular meeting location to be closer to Maryland and Washington, DC folks (above).  We also plan to continue holding occasional events in MD/WDC proper.
